DIRECTOR’S THOUGHTS: THE “IN-BETWEEN” PLACE As the Director of a Christian non-profit, we do not receive any money from the government. We do not charge for the services we provide. We do not take up offerings from the people we serve. Yet the Lord constantly provides. Dear people give of their time, talent and treasure. That, by God’s presence and blessing, enables all that takes place through this ministry. It is a joy to be in the “in-between” place. I see people donating food, back-to-school book bags, snacks, toys, clothes, furniture and so much more. Someone this past week even donated a Christmas tree and all the decorations. As soon as possible, we get every single one of those items out directly to people of our community who have need of them. I see people donating financially so that we can fulfill the vision and ministry, to bring relief, bring opportunity and to impact young lives with the love of Jesus Christ. It comes in. It goes out. And I am in the fortunate place of seeing love & grace all around. “It is more blessed to give than to receive!” That Christmas tree is going to bring much joy to young children this Christmas! —Pastor/Director R.
