Front Step is starting a Youth Mentoring Program!
Front Step will begin a mentoring program for youth of the community and is seeking mature men and women who would share from your personal experience to assist the youth participants of this program.
During the months of April and May 2019, we invite those who may be interested in mentoring teens to contact Front Step. Training will be provided at Front Step through a partnership with the National Mentoring Resource Center and the local branch of MENTOR Independence Region.
The Front Step Youth Mentoring Program is under the direction of Mrs. Imani Lumumba, MA who is highly experienced in marriage and family counseling. Mrs. Lumumba is a certified psychotherapist experienced in providing faith-based counseling for marriage and family issues, substance abuse, and other life issues to individuals and families suffering with mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual illnesses. We are delighted to welcome her aboard to oversee the Front Step Youth Mentorship Program.
The Mentorship Program is scheduled to launch in September 2019!
Please send a note of your interest to RWTink01@gmail.com. Background checks are required of all those who work with youth. THANK YOU for caring for youth!
