We believe in liberation for those who have become slaves to their own habits and addictions. We also believe there is hope for those who feel powerless to overcome their own negative circumstances. We want to assist individuals in gaining life skills that will help them become independent, self-reliant, productive, and whole.

Front Step's Recovery efforts include:

Immigrant services and referrals
Jobs for Life – 75% of our first class graduates either gained employment, or promoted within their current employment, and attribute at least part of that to the lessons of this class.
English for Speakers of Other Languages – serving students from Columbia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Chile, Guatemala, Paraguay, Mexico, Haiti, and Kazakhstan at 2 locations
Summer Youth Programs
After school homework help, in conjuction with Rhawnhurst Turning Point
Worked with PACT to train ex-offenders for re-entry into the workforce and community
Worked with Project Care to train underprivileged African American women in personal finance management
Table tennis lessons, both group and one-on-one, to teach neighborhood teens lessons about team work and overcoming obstacles through perseverance
Computer lab for teaching youth and adults basic computer and internet skills
